| Ventura County Inmate Sentenced to 36 Years to Life After Attacking Another Inmate |

VENTURA, Calif. - A 30-year-old Ventura resident was sentenced to 36 years to life in prison for crimes committed while he was in custody at the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention Facility along with the initial charges brought forth by the Ventura Police Department. Anthony Aaron Baty was arrested and booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility on February 6, 2015 for assault with a deadly weapon, and just 11 days later, authorities say he attacked another inmate.
