| Inmate who died is identified; was jailed for contempt of court |

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department on Tuesday, March 29, identified the inmate who died Sunday at West Valley Detention Center as Federico Juarez Guardado, 30. Guardado had been arrested March 23 on suspicion of contempt of court. He was convicted in 2014 of a misdemeanor vandalism charge, court records show. Charges of stalking, interfering with a peace officer and trespassing were dismissed. Read More. |
