| Clemency hearing for Georgia inmate scheduled to die Thursday |

The State Board of Pardons and Paroles plans to hear Wednesday from supporters of 41-year-old Joshua Bishop, as well as from those who believe he should be executed. Bishop was convicted of murder and armed robbery in the 1994 beating death of Leverett Morrison in Milledgeville. His execution is set for Thursday. The parole board is the only entity in Georgia authorized to commute a death sentence. Read More. |
