| Gov. Ricketts weighs in on recent rash of prison assaults |

LINCOLN, Neb.-- In the last month, there have been five separate instances of state prison employees being assaulted by inmates. The assaults date back to Mar. 7. The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services has delivered insight and some details into the attacks, but said over the telephone in recent weeks that there's nothing linking the attacks and there's no sign of a systemic problem. However, the NDCS continues to state the assaults won't be "tolerated," despite the recent rash. "I think it does highlight that, in our corrections system, we have dangerous people," Gov.
