| KSP investigates escaped Estill inmate |

The Kentucky State Police is looking for an inmate that escaped from the Estill County Detention Center at approximately 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to a release. The initial investigation alleges that Francis N. Stamper, 19, of Irvine, escaped from the jail and fled on foot, the KSP release stated. Several agencies, including the Kentucky State Police, Estill County Sheriff’s Office, Irvine Police Department, and the Estill County Detention Center conducted a search of the area, but were unable to find Stamper, according to the release.
