PONTIAC — An inmate at Pontiac Correctional Center will spend 60 more years behind bars for the December 2014 murder of his cellmate, which is what the inmate wanted, according to Livingston County State’s Attorney Seth Uphoff. Michael Bragg pleaded guilty last week to one count of first-degree murder in the strangulation death of Fabian Carrillo, 36, who was found dead just after midnight on Dec. 16, 2014, on the floor of the cell the two men shared. He was bound with his hands behind his back, an electrical cord was wrapped around his neck and a plastic bag was over his head, Uphoff said in a news release. Uphoff said Bragg reportedly told investigators he intended to “take out the first inmate he didn’t like” so he could spend the rest of his life in prison.
