A Buffalo man pled guilty April 6 before U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo to drug charges in connection with contraband smuggled into the Attica Correctional Facility, Attica. Jerome Tallington, 28, of Buffalo, sold heroin and marijuana to Elizabeth Camue Martinez, who’s husband, Andres Martinez, was an inmate at the Attica facility. Between September and December 2013, Elizabeth Martinez smuggled gram quantities of heroin and ounces of marijuana into the prison and gave the drugs to her husband. She did this with the knowledge that he would then distribute the heroin and marijuana to other inmates, reports Assistant U.S. Attorney Meghan A. Tokash.
