DES MOINES, Iowa —UPDATE: Department of Corrections officials say escaped work release offender Colton Edward Benson-Blaine, 25, has been arrested in Shelby County. Iowa law enforcement officials say they're searching for an offender who escaped from a residential work release facility Sunday. The Iowa Department of Corrections said in a news release that Colton Edward Benson-Blaine, 25, failed to return to the Council Bluffs Work Release Facility, a minimum-security setting. The offender was transferred to the facility after being granted a work release by the Iowa Board of Parole. Read More. |
