| Three new officers join Sheriff’s Dept. |

Two road patrol deputies and a jail officer have been hired to fill new positions created in the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Department. Sheriff Jack Welsh told county commissioners Thursday that the three new staff positions are filled. The three were added under a budget agreement that includes housing additional state prison inmates at the county jail. New road patrol deputies are required to complete four months of field training, Welsh said. One of the newly hired deputies has completed that training, he said, and the second began training in the past week. Read More. |
