| County OKs corrections plan for 2017 |

OSWEGO — Labette County commissioners on Monday approved the 2017 comprehensive plan for the 11th Judicial District’s community corrections program. Mac Young presented the document that reviews the program and its approach to helping participants to commissioners and also discussed the success rate of the intensive probation program for adult felony offenders. The program operates in the three counties of the district: Labette, Cherokee and Crawford and has offices in each county. Young said the Kansas Department of Corrections, which funds and oversees community corrections, wants to see a 75 percent success rate (three quarters of all enrolled in the program complete it successfully) in programs.
