FORT SUPPLY — An employee at William S. Key Correctional Center assisted in the arrest of a woman who allegedly dropped contraband at the prison last week.

Sydna Rashell Grant, of Pryor, appeared before Associate District Judge Don Work on Monday afternoon for an arraignment. Grant is facing four charges — three felonies and a misdemeanor. The charges are: felony assault with a dangerous weapon; felony bringing contraband (marijuana) into a penal institution; felony bringing contraband (cell phones) into a penal institution; and misdemeanor bringing contraband (tobacco) into a penal institution. Grant's bail was set at $50,000 and a preliminary hearing was set for Sept. 13.

Under a separate affidavit for arrest, she also was charged driving a motor vehicle under suspended or revoked license and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors. Grant pleaded not guilty on the two charges. Work set bond on the charges at $1,000, with a disposition hearing on Sept. 13 to coincide with the preliminary hearing on the felony charges.
