A planned Johnny Cash-themed hiking and bicycle trail in Folsom is starting to get some national attention. The Wall Street Journal ran a piece on the city's project. But now some neighbors are questioning if a statue of the late folk singer will draw too many tourists. The Johnny Cash Bridge, complete with fake guard towers, has already been built. But the trail is expected to expand with several major art pieces coming in. The city of Folsom has decided to capitalize on the fame of the "Folsom Prison Blues" song and later album recorded at the prison, with a tribute trail to the late songwriter. Read More. |
