| Corrections officer pinned by bus at Nashville General Hospital |

A Tennessee Department of Corrections bus struck and pinned a corrections officer outside Nashville General Hospital Wednesday morning, authorities said. The incident took place about 8:25 a.m. at 1818 Albion Street in North Nashville, said Nashville Fire Department spokesman Brian Haas. A preliminary investigation revealed a 56-year-old TDOC corrections officer was injured while making a routine medical run to the hospital, according to information from Haas and TDOC spokeswoman Neysa Taylor. The officer was checking the doors of the bus when he was pinned between the bus and the hospital railing, Taylor said. Read More. |
