CRANSTON – A group of 29 staff, contractors and volunteers, including Cumberland residents Lauranne Howard and Dr. Paul Sicola, was given “The Teamwork Award” at a Rhode Island Department of Corrections ceremony Tuesday, March 1. An interdisciplinary team, named the health fair committee, received the award. The group of 29 was given the award after planning a health fair for the 1,000 inmates at John J. Moran Medium Security facility. Health Education Specialist Deborah Davis nominated the group. Read More. |
