| Inmate serving 150 years dead in Nevada state prison |

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Officials say an inmate serving a 150-year sentence for a 1992 home invasion, kidnapping and sexual assault in Mineral County has died at Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City. The Nevada Department of Corrections said 49-year-old Julian Richard Falcon died Friday at a prison medical facility. A cause wasn't disclosed. Officials say the Carson City coroner will conduct an autopsy. Records show Falcon was convicted of breaking into an apartment with a large axe and holding a man, his girlfriend and their two children captive for almost six hours. Read More. |
