A Bethlehem Township man sentenced in March in two burglary cases failed to return Wednesday to work release in Northampton County, authorities said. Jeffrey Michael Werkheiser, 48, was last seen leaving the county Department of Corrections' West Easton facility, where he was due back at 6 p.m. Wednesday, a news release states. He is described as standing 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, and a tattoo on his left upper shoulder of a blade with the word skull, according to the release.
