| Oklahoma DOC to reopen correctional facility, reorganize inmate population |

SAYRE, Okla. – A correctional facility in Oklahoma that has been closed for a year is now set to reopen. According to a press release, on Thursday, the Oklahoma Board of Corrections accepted a proposal presented by Oklahoma Department of Corrections interim Director Joe M. Allbaugh to lease the North Fork Correctional Facility in Sayre that has been closed since 2015. The terms of the five-year lease allow the DOC to operate and manage NFCF as a state facility with staff and officers employed by the department. Read More. |
