Five prison officers escaped without injury after they were taken hostage by an inmate wielding a twin-bladed weapon at HMP Highpoint. The incident happened at the Category C prison, near Haverhill, on May 12. Three officers were quickly released, it has been reported, before the incident came to a head without injury later.
