An SCI Rockview Inmate is now awaiting sentencing after being found guilty of simple assault on Monday. After a one day jury trial, a Centre County jury found Christopher Young guilty of one count of simple assault. Following hours of deliberating, the jury was hung on the remaining charges of aggravated assault and seven counts of weapons or implements of escape. The charges stem from an incident at the prison when the security department searched several cells for drug activity. When CERT members entered Young's cell, he reportedly kicked and punched them.
