| Inmate serving life sentence dies in Missouri prison |

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, MO - A 71-year-old inmate at a prison died Tuesday night at a prison in Mississippi County, Missouri, according to the state department of corrections. According to a news release sent Wednesday, inmate John Schafer was pronounced dead at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston.
