Six people were injured during two separate fights at D.C. jail, including five inmates who were stabbed during one incident in a housing unit, according to corrections officials. Five inmates sustained lacerations and puncture wounds from homemade shanks and weapons, said Sylvia Lane, a corrections spokeswoman. Three of the men were taken to hospitals and two were treated by a jail doctor, she said. None of the wounds were believed to be life threatening. Read More. |
