After nine years on the run, a woman wanted in connection with a strip club attack on a fellow dancer has been arrested in the Dominican Republic, Dartmouth police spokesman Det. Kyle Costa said. Katherine Mercedes Pimental, 35, of Providence, Rhode Island, was wanted on several warrants, including mayhem, assault to maim, assault and battery with dangerous weapon, operating under the influence of liquor, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, Costa said. Pimental fled the country on the eve of her trial more than six years ago, said Gregg Miliote, spokesman for Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III. She is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Fall River Superior Court to be arraigned on bail jumping charges and to once again face charges connected to a July 2007 stabbing incident at the King's Inn in Dartmouth, Miliote said.
