CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) The Nevada Department of Corrections and local law enforcement will host training sessions for the public in various northern Nevada locations regarding the Nevada Victim Information and Notification Everyday [VINE] service. They are free and open to the public.

The training sessions are designed to promote awareness and increase usage of Nevada’s VINE system among law enforcement, jail staff, victim advocates, community organizations, and the general public.

VINE provides free, confidential access to offender custody information by phone and online. Registered users can be notified by phone or e-mail when an offender is released from jail or prison.
