RIDGELAND, SC (WACH) - A Lowcountry corrections officer is being praised for his actions during this past weekend's poor weather from Tropical Storm Bonnie. Department of Corrections officer Corey Wilkinson was leaving his shift from Ridgeland Correctional Institute. The officer was on I-95 when the highway began to face rising waters.
