| Prison union plans informational picket at Groveland Correctional |

GROVELAND — Concerns over prison violence are leading corrections officers to conduct an informational picket June 9 in front of Groveland Correctional Facility. Correction officers from Groveland and Livingston Correctional facilities will be participating in the picket, organized by the New York State Correctional Officers and Police Benevolent Association. In addition to concerns about increased assault on staff, other issues include increased drugs inside the prisons, increased weapons inside the prisons and staffing issues inside the prison.
