Rimutaka Prisoners helping to heat homes through Christians Against Proverty

Upper Hutt families in need will have a warmer winter thanks to Rimutaka Prison inmates.

They donated nearly 200 bags of kindling and about 20 banana boxes full of paper bricks to the CAP (Christians Against Poverty) Upper Hutt Debt Centre on May 31.

The centre will distribute the donated goods to families they support.

The charity works with local residents of all faiths to help them get out of debt.
