BELTON — A Bell County inmate who allegedly cut a fellow inmate several times with a razor blade was indicted Wednesday by a Bell County grand jury. Freddy Uceta, 29, of Hollis, N.Y., listed as a repeat offender, was in the Bell County Jail Wednesday held in lieu of bail totaling $750,000 on a second-degree felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. An arrest affidavit detailed what reportedly happened in the Bell County Jail bathroom on May 14. Jailers were returning the inmates to their cells for the night when the victim went to the bathroom area. Uceta reportedly told the jailer walking with him that he needed to use the bathroom. The jailer said that he watched as Uceta walked up behind the victim and seemed to punch him several times until he was stopped. Read More. |
