| Man on probation cuts ankle monitor, then drives to Arkansas in RV |

MCLENNAN COUNTY, TX (KXXV) - A man on probation, who was wearing an electronic monitoring ankle bracelet, has been arrested after cutting off the ankle monitor and taking it with him as he drove to Arkansas in an RV. Charles Michael Hatcher has been charged with theft over $1,500 for the incident because he cut off the bracelet and took it with him. According to Captain Bubba Colyer with the McLennan County Sheriff's Office, Hatcher said he got a better job offer in Arkansas and decided to go.
