| LCF warden retires |

The warden of the Lansing Correctional Facility said a person needs to be a problem solver in order to stay in the corrections field. And Rex Pryor has enjoyed being a problem solver during his more than 35 years with the Kansas Department of Corrections. But he believes it is time for him to retire. "It's just time for me to let somebody else do it," he said. Pryor began his career with the KDOC in Topeka. But he has spent more than 30 years working at the Lansing Correctional Facility. He has been the warden of the prison since 2013. Friday will be his last day on the job. Pryor, who is originally from Fillmore, Missouri, worked as a bricklayer before joining the KDOC. Read More. |
