| Lawmakers project heavy price tag for fixing prison issues |

LINCOLN, Neb.-- Some lawmakers believe it may cost hundreds of millions of dollars to fix the problems plaguing Nebraska's prisons. But, the special legislative committee investigating the corrections system said they still don't know exactly what needs addressing and how much it's going to cost. The committee and Scott Frakes, the director of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, met Thursday to talk about prison issues and the recently escaped inmates.
