| Search still on for Iowa inmate who escaped from work release |

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — Iowa authorities are searching for an inmate who did not return to a residential work release facility. Deron Humes III, 27, escaped from the Fort Des Moines Release Facility on Friday, the Des Moines Register reports. A news release from the Iowa Department of Corrections say he failed to return to the facility from his job. Humes began serving his 10-year sentence in October 2014 after being convicted of intimidation with a dangerous weapon. He was transferred to work release by the Iowa Board of Parole on May 10.
