| State prison guard gets jail time for inappropriately touching female Muncy inmate |

WILLIAMSPORT – A state prison guard could spend up to nearly two years in prison for having inappropriate contact with a female inmate at the State Correctional Institution at Muncy. Jeffrey Lynn Geyer, 44, of Jersey Shore, was sentenced Monday by Lycoming County Judge Dudley N. Anderson to 10 months to two years minus a day in the county prison. Geyer, who had pleaded guilty in February to charges of institutional sexual assault and official oppression, also must perform 100 hours of community service and register as a sex offender for 15 years.
