AUBURN -- The Cayuga County District Attorney will stand Thursday with fellow members of law enforcement and the family of a Camillus man who was killed in a road rage crash in November 2009. Christoper Spack was 41 years old when he was run off a rural road in Cato by William LeVea. The DA and the victim's family members are hoping to apply the necessary pressure to stop the early release of the man who killed Spack. Levea, 85, is making a third Compassionate Care release application. He was denied by the Parole Board earlier this year. "We have received nothing indicating his condition differs from the last two attempts or in fact from what it was when he committed the offenses at age 79," Cayuga County DA Jon E. Budelmann said in an email. Budelmann added there are, "Certainly no guarantees that he cannot get behind the wheel of a car and kill again." Read More. |
