| Benner state prison inmate’s sentence extended |

A state correctional inmate was sentenced to an additional three to six years Thursday after being caught with drugs in prison. According to a news release from the county District Attorney’s Office, Charles Lewis, 33, an inmate at Benner state prison, was found guilty after a daylong jury trial in March. The court found that Lewis had his sister, Michilean Lewis, 30, of Philadelphia, smuggle Suboxone and marijuana into the prison when she visited her brother. Suboxone is commonly used to treat pain as well as opioid addictions. Read More. |
