The state is investigating a false statement by a security company that allowed Orlando massacre shooter Omar Mateen to get a state license to carry firearms as a security guard. G4S, then known as The Wackenhut Corp., in 2007 submitted a signed and notarized character certification form to the state that claimed Mateen had passed a psychological evaluation that found him to be "mentally and emotionally stable." But the psychologist listed on the form says she could never had tested him because she had sold her practice and moved out of Florida by Sept. 6, 2007, the date on which the form claims he passed the test.
