| Inmate on work crew escapes near Deer Park HS |

DEER PARK, Wash. – The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for an escaped inmate who left his assigned post as a kitchen worker for a fire training academy being held at Deer Park High School on Monday morning. According to deputies, Juan A. Cruz-Grijalva, 24, was last seen behind the high school around 2:00 a.m. Deputies conducted a search via K9 units and Air 1, but have so far been unsuccessful. Cruz-Grijalva was last seen wearing khaki jeans, a white t-shirt, or a long-sleeved gray thermal and possible a stocking cap. He is described as 5’4” and weighing about 140 pounds.
