| NY lawmakers want inmate death reports for families |

Jun 28, 2016 — ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) New York lawmakers have voted to require corrections officials provide death certificates to families of inmates who die in prison and respond to their inquiries. The measure says authorities should disclose circumstances surrounding the death, medical procedures used and both preliminary and final determinations of cause. If approved by Gov.
