| UPDATE: Inmate who escaped from Iowa prison has been captured |

The Iowa Department of Corrections says they have captured an inmate who escaped overnight from the Newton Correctional Release Center in Jasper County. According to a press release from the Iowa Department of Corrections, Timothy Joseph Formaro, Jr was not present during routine count at 9:20 P.M. Monday night. He was determined to have escaped after a search of the minimum security facility by security staff. Read More. |
