| Prison officials crack down on live videos by prisoners |

GREENVILLE, S.C. —"Periscoping prisoners" are popping up in prisons across the country and officials are looking for a way to cut the lines of communication. Last week, an inmate in the South Carolina Department of Corrections used a cell phone to live-stream from inside his prison cell with help from the mobile app Periscope. That prisoner, shown in our exclusive footage, was identified by the SCDC and put into solitary confinement as punishment. But a viewer says that same prisoner was up Periscoping again from solitary.
