| Rock and Walworth county jails steer clear of solitary confinement |

As a hunger strike protesting solitary confinement continues in Waupun Correctional Institute, local county jails avoid the practice all together. Rock and Walworth County jails for practical and ethical reasons do not use solitary confinement, officials at the jails said. “We've never operated that way as long as I've been here,” said Rock County Jail Cmdr.
