BRIDGEWATER - Nhlanhla Khumalo spent Thursday afternoon in prison. The South African visiting the United States as part of a leadership program walked the hallways of Old Colony Correctional Center, spent time in cells and spoke with convicted murderers serving life sentences. And when the two-hour tour concluded, the public policy advocate said he couldn’t wait to get home. Not because the visiting Mandela Washington Fellow feared his time inside, but because 32-year-old felt his countrymen could learn or two from the Bridgewater facility. Read More. |
