ATMORE, Ala. —The Alabama Department of Corrections is reporting the escape of an inmate Monday morning from the Atmore Work Release center. According to officials, Javarus Deon Ridgeway, 37, escaped the work release center at approximately 7:30 a.m. Ridgeway is wearing a white shirt and white pants, is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs 156 pounds.
