| DOCCS investigates Auburn Correctional Facility inmate who climbed scaffolding |

AUBURN — The Department of Corrections and Community Supervision said there was an incident involving an Auburn Correctional Facility inmate who threatened to harm himself Wednesday evening. Emergency responders said they were called to the scene to assist with someone who had climbed scaffolding. DOCCS said the scaffolding was inside a secure housing unit. It was not outside of the prison's walls. Two Auburn Fire Department trucks, an ambulance and several emergency vehicles were parked on Wall Street on the north side of the prison Wednesday evening.
