| County to expand juvenile center nonsecure program |

The Anoka County Juvenile Center’s nonsecure program is set to expand. On the recommendation of its Human Services Committee, the Anoka County Board June 28 unanimously approved expanding and relicensing the nonsecure program at the juvenile center’s Lino Lakes campus from 28 beds to 44 beds with a staffing limit of 40 beds. Separately, the County Board’s Management Committee recommended new staffing requests from the Anoka County Community Corrections Department for the expanded program. The County Board will act on the committee recommendation at its July 12 meeting.
