| Kinross Correctional Facility inmates transferred after stabbing, fight |

About 20 state inmates were transferred from Kinross Correctional Facility in Michigan after a fight broke out Monday among two groups of prisoners, one prisoner was stabbed in a separate incident and a prison sergeant was treated for injuries. The first incident began around 2:30 p.m. on Monday when two different groups of inmates began to fight in front of their housing units, said Chris Gautz, a Michigan Department of Corrections Department spokesman. Two prisoners were taken to a health care facility in the prison and treated for non-life threatening injuries. A female sergeant responding to the fight suffered injuries and was taken to an emergency room at a nearby hospital for treatment, he said. Read More. |
