| Allen Correctional set to lay off nearly a hundred employees |

KINDER, LA (KPLC) - It is no secret the state of Louisiana is in a financial crisis and the budget cuts are hitting Allen Parish Correctional especially hard. 80 people from the correctional center in Kinder will be laid off starting August 1. The facility houses 1,500 offenders ranging from minimum to maximum security levels. This is raising concern in the community about how these layoffs will impact the economy and the people affected.
