We're learning more about the prison guard assaulted earlier this month by an inmate at the Green Bay Correctional Institution. Sources from inside the prison and State Senator Dave Hansen (D–Green Bay) have confirmed some of the details we've been hearing about for weeks. We now know that correctional officer John McKee was assaulted by an inmate who tossed as much as five gallons of boiling water on him in the prison kitchen. McKee who is recovering at a Milwaukee burn center is suffering from second and third degree burns that cover nearly 40 percent of his body.
