| Fugitive from New Mexico captured in Great Falls |

A violent offender with warrants for arrest out of New Mexico was captured in Great Falls on Thursday afternoon. Jose Zapata was wanted for parole violations related to a New Mexico charge of attempted possession of a deadly weapon or explosive as a prisoner. New Mexico authorities alerted the Great Falls Police Department earlier Thursday that Zapata might be in Great Falls and gave several addresses where he had ties. GFPD officers watched and confirmed Zapata was at a residence in the 1100 block of 10th Alley South, behind the former Hoagieville location. Read More. |
