A man who has been arrested twice on murder charges, including one in which he is actively under indictment, is wanted in a south Jackson armed robbery, officials said. Darion Givens, 24, is a suspect in a Monday morning armed robbery of an individual, Jackson Police Department spokesman Tyree Jones said. Jones said the police department received the call at 10:20 a.m. that a robbery had taken place on Beatrice Drive near Cooper Road. A 16-year-old male was robbed at gunpoint while riding his bicycle, Jones said. The suspect allegedly took money and fled the scene in a vehicle, seen on convenience store surveillance video, that was later identified as one that was connected to the suspect. Givens was later seen in the area of Whitten Road, and officers recovered the vehicle the suspect was driving at the time of the robbery. Read More. |
