MUSKEGON, MI – A convicted murderer will spend 25 months to 8 years more for an assault on a deputy in the Muskegon County Jail, after he was resentenced Monday. Quantay Lamont Aldridge is already serving a 20-40 year sentence for second degree murder and a 2-year sentence for a weapons charge. In January, he was sentenced for a fall 2015 assault on a deputy. The Michigan Department of Corrections recently wrote a letter to Muskegon County requesting clarification on whether or not the jail assault sentence should be served at the same time or after the other sentences, said Muskegon County Assistant Prosecutor Timothy Maat Read More. |
